Most of you have probably heard about HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)

It is a form of interval training where you alternate short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less-intense recovery periods.

The work out may vary from 4 minutes and to up to 30 minutes.

The workouts are this short because they are extremely intense in the minutes that they go on.

I use HIIT as a supplement to weight training and swimming because HIIT tests me to the max and provides improved athletic capacity and condition.

If you want to run a marathon or do an ironman it is definitely not enough to do HIIT but I like it as a supplement to all of the other training that I do.

The girls at Nordic Hiit and their YouTube channel are providers of excellent inspiration for work outs – and trust me; if you Google “HIIT” you will be left with what seems to be endless inspiration for workouts from people all over the world.
