How to…. Ice Coffee

When living in Singapore where the temperature is always between 23C and 33C (approximately!) you don’t always fancy a warm coffee. Instead a really good ice coffee is awesome. I’m not a fan of the traditional ice coffee where you just fill a mug with ice cubes, coffee and cold milk – no(!), it should be made with love.

Here are my own recipes of my two favorite ice coffees.

1. The blended ice coffee

You need the following:
– ice cubes
– skim milk
– two Nespresso shots (and a Nespresso machine)
– blender (I use Nutribullet)
– chocolate powder
– a straw

Step 1. Make two coffee shots
Step 2. Place a few ice cubes in a mug and add some milk
Step 3. Blend the coffee shots with two ice cubes
Step 4. Pour the blended coffee slowly in the mug on the top of the milk
Step 5. Sprinkle a little bit of chocolate powder on the top
Step 6. Stir and drink.

If you prefer sugar in your coffee you can easily make your own sirup to sweeten the ice coffee. Just boil some water and mix it with some cane sugar and stir until the cane sugar is melted.

Both are very easy to make and taste awesome! Play a little bit around with it to find out how strong you want it, how sweet you want it, etc.

ENJOY
