Back to basic – healthier eating

After a vacation and a few weeks before that with a little too much candy, white bread, pasta etc. it felt really good getting back to our normal routines and healthier eating. I was just feeling bloated and tired even though I got at least eight hours of sleep every night.

I decided that I could use a kick start which meant that when we got back home from Italy I did three days of only veggie juices, veggies and a little bit of fruit (mostly berries).

It was not a new juice detox as such, I just know that a few days where I focus on “green(er)” eating resets my body and I just feel much better both physically and mentally.

The bloated feeling was gone on day two and I sleep so much better when I focus on getting my veggies and avoid white sugar and bread.

Now I just need to stick to the routines instead of falling back into old bad habits…

Am I the only one who from time to time needs a “kick start”?
