I have started on something I have never done before: YOGA.
I never thought this would happen. I am normally a higher, faster, stronger kind of girl. Say jump and I will ask how high…
Now I focus on longer stretches and breathing deeply. And to my initial surprise: I really like it.
It is something completely different from my normal work out routine and I do not think that yoga is going to replace my high paced training sessions but I think that it will be a great addition to all of the other things that I am doing.
Right now it is still really difficult. I do not know all of the postures or their names (btw who came up with those?) and I am really not flexible at all… But I love the feeling of calmness afterwards and I understand why so many people enjoy yoga in their stressed lives.
I will let you know how it all goes but I am pretty confident that yoga is in my life to stay.
